Grocott is a ready-to-use staining kit for the differentiation of fungal organisms in tissue sections. Grocott staining is a special silver impregnation method for the detection of fungi, especially in histological tissue sections. It is routinely used in pathology for the diagnosis of mycotic infections – e.g. Pneumocystis jirovecii, Candida, Aspergillus or Histoplasma.
