Alcian Blue pH 2.5 is a ready-to-use staining kit for staining acidic mucopolysaccharides in tissue sections. Alcian Blue pH 2.5 is a specific histochemical stain for the detection of acidic mucopolysaccharides (e.g. mucins, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulphates) in tissues. It is frequently used in gastrointestinal, respiratory and tumor pathology to differentiate mucus types or extracellular matrix components.
