The implementation of an automatic archiving system for kerosene blocks improves laboratory organization and efficiency. The picture shows a successful installation at one of our customers. With an impressive capacity of around 25,000 blocks in a minimal space, this system enables space-saving storage, freeing up valuable storage space for other laboratory utensils. In future, customers will be able to store their FFPE samples in a sorted and simple manner and retrieve them in just a few seconds when required.
The digital recording of the kerosene blocks ensures that they can be found within seconds. Each block is clearly identifiable and the system logs all processes digitally so that no block is overlooked or lost. Thanks to prepared interfaces , the system can communicate with the desired laboratory information system (LIS) to retrieve information quickly using the familiar program.
The intelligent labeling of the individual trays, in combination with an externally connected PDA reader and integrated lighting technology, considerably simplifies and speeds up the search for the desired block.
