CD21, \u00e9galement connu sous le nom de r\u00e9cepteur du compl\u00e9ment 2, r\u00e9cepteur C3d ou r\u00e9cepteur du virus Epstein-Barr (EBV), est une prot\u00e9ine membranaire de 140 kD sur les lymphocytes B \u00e0 laquelle l’EBV se lie pendant l’infection de ces cellules. CD21 est principalement exprim\u00e9 sur les cellules dendritiques folliculaires et les lymphocytes B matures pr\u00e9sents dans les tissus normaux des ganglions lymphatiques et des amygdales, et est absent des lymphocytes T, des monocytes et des granulocytes.
