CD117 is a protooncogene. Mutations and overexpression are associated with several types of cancer, including gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), mast cell disease, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and Ewing&#8217;s sarcoma.
